Visual Designer, Branding Specialist, Sober Companion
Katie Wilson-Rogers brings a combination of creative, organizational, and client support skills to the Orion team. She specializes in web development, multimedia editing, content creation, branding identity development and graphic design. Her work cultivates highly personalized brand identity and amplifies the impact of both print and digital media. Katie helps ensure clients feel a strong sense of satisfaction in their marketing materials and online presence. She works primarily within the field of business development for Orion and is an invaluable source of client support. In addition to her digital art background, Katie’s areas of expertise also include substantial experience in the non-profit sector, licensing compliance, and sober companionship.
Katie’s creative career in digital arts started in Bridgeport Connecticut where she first worked towards her degree in digital art and design. Her creative path then led to 10 years in the music industry as a professional singer and musician. This time also presented other opportunities to express her creativity. Katie pursued photography, designing promotional content, branding, website and content creation.
Brand Identity Specialist
After several years in the music industry, Katie transitioned to the non-profit sector in 2012. She first worked for Greenpeace Los Angeles and then as the Director of Life Enrichment for a masonic-affiliated residential care facility in Orange County. Katie transformed their outdated programming into a thriving and robust feature of the facility while also meeting strict licensing requirements. During that time, she helped redesign their logo and overhauled their website. After her son was born, she moved to Colorado in 2018 where she reconnected with her longtime friend, Cody Gardner. He introduced her to the team at The Redpoint Center where she worked as a sober companion for 2 years. During this time, she honed her skills in direct care while working with clients who struggled with mental health and addiction.
As a personal philosophy, Katie believes life is an endless opportunity to try new things and to work hard toward new goals. These days she enjoys learning about biodynamic gardening, and camping with her friends and family, and is especially passionate about being part of Orion’s team to further enrich the mission of addiction recovery.
